Tutu's are for little girls filled with sugar and spice and sometimes not everything nice. They make them giggle uncontrollably as they twirl in front of the mirror . . . screech with pure excitement. If you ask anyone who has a little girl if they like Tutu's, the answer would always be, without a doubt, yes. Who knew that a simple tutu could fashion such a fun costume. A Tutu is a short style skirt consisting of many sheer fabric layers. Simple costumes can be created out of just one tutu. A special performance may require you to look like a tiger, while another performance may require you to look like a bumble bee. The simple tutu is just the starting block. Let's have some fun.
Picture this, a yellow tutu, black and yellow striped tights, a black leotard and a headband that looks much like antennas. Making the headband is nothing more than fabric shaped into ears, sewn together down the one side and attached around the top of the headband. Don't forget the bumblebee wings that will attach over the shoulders. Being creative and thinking outside the box is sure to create the perfect costume. Maybe she's been asked to be a tiger. A simple Siberian tiger cat suit with a black tutu nestled around the waist. Cat ears that can be sewn around a simple black plastic headband then placed on top of the head. Don't forget to paint on the whiskers; they will make her the star of the show.

The slight pink tint to her cheeks with blush will give her the glow she needs. Creating costumes out of a simple tutu can be fun for the wearer, as well as for the designer, you. Open your imagination to all the possibilities of pairing like colors, in fact, using the colors in that animal to prepare your thoughts—your ideas. Getting started with the most remarkable costume is nothing more than that. So, if you have a little girl in your life, go ahead and buy her a Tutu so you can create the most adorable costume ever and make her feel like the princess she is, or perhaps the bumblebee she's always wanted to be.
Think outside the box because you, as well as she, will be giddy with enthusiasm when she puts it on for the first time.
