Germania Society hosts event Saturday (cincinnati)
COLERAIN TOWNSHIP - Gather your friends and join the Germania Society at the
2011 Gala Karneval Opening Ball beginning 7 p.m. Saturday at the Germania
Society Clubhouse, 3529 W. Kemper Road. Karneval is celebrated all around the
world during the season before Lent, and the Germania Society celebrates the
festivities Rheinishe (western part of Germany) style, which is known for its
parades and costume balls. The Reinishe Karneval season begins at 11:11 a.m.
Friday. Entertainment will be provided by the Cincinnati Schnapps Band, along
with performances by the Germania Prinzengarde. Food and beverages will be
available for purchase, as well as chances for raffles. Cost for the dance is
