Where you can find custom size register covers (vent covers)?
We repainted our house which was built in the 1960's and took off all the original register covers and threw them in the trash. All the hardware stores just have standard sizes, is there somewhere where you can order custom size ones?
Yes, you'll need to purchase them online. Do a Google for floor registers, and you'll get more results than you can look at. You'll need to pick through the results, because some offer custom sizes and some don't. If your home is from the 60's, it's possible that yours are a standard (but not common) size. Additionally, the results are so large because you can obtain registers in almost any metal finish and any number of patterns.
My husband and I just built a custom home, and I found floor registers and grilles online (and I did need a truly custom size for several).
